Delta Covid variant first found in India spreads to 62 countries, hot spots form in Asia and Africa, WHO says

The P.1 variant, now named Gamma, which was first detected in Japan in people who had traveled from Brazil, has spread to 64 countries, according to the WHO. Even countries with high vaccination rates are seeing a rise in cases over the last week or two, “so no one is out of the woods,” Dr. Mike Ryan, executive director of the WHO’s Health Emergencies Program said in a Q&A hosted by the WHO on Wednesday across social media platforms. Google backs Biden immigration efforts, covers fees in threatened 'Dreamer' program

(Reuters) - Alphabet Inc’s Google said it would support President-elect Joe Biden’s efforts to pass a new U.S. immigration law and would help cover application fees for immigrants seeking lawful work under a threatened government program. Google said on Wednesday it would pay for the application fees of about 500 young immigrants seeking employment under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. It comes as Google and other big U.S. employers transition from four years of criticizing outgoing President Donald Trump for restricting immigration policy and undermining the companies’ ability to hire foreign-born workers.   2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Fiat Chrysler DETROIT — Fiat Chrysler is expanding its popular Jeep Grand Cherokee lineup with a new three-row model, which the company believes will widen the vehicle’s appeal in an increasingly competitive SUV market. The Grand Cherokee L marks the fifth-generation of the SUV since its debut nearly 30 years ago. A three-row Jeep has been more than a decade in the making. Jeep exited the segment in 2010 after lackluster sales of a vehicle called the Commander. “There is high-demand in a Grand Cherokee three-row.
